皮を剥き、代わりに綿を詰め、皮を元に合ったように繋ぎ戻し、瑞々しい姿を演出する。同時に、中の果肉から香水を作る。

物質的に構成する要素を視覚的、嗅覚的に解体し、物質的な死を与えた後、エンバーミングを施すことによって蘇生させる。 そのものがそのものである所以とはなんなのか。どこまでがそのものであろうか。 新たな肖像について考えた実験的なインスタレーション。

I peel away the skin, fill the emptied form with cotton, and stitch the skin back together as if it had never been removed, restoring a fresh and vivid appearance. At the same time, I extract the fragrance from the fruit’s flesh to create a perfume.

By visually and olfactorily dismantling the material components, giving the object a kind of physical death, and then reviving it through a form of embalming, I question the essence of what makes a thing itself. How far can one alter it before it ceases to be what it is?
This is an experimental installation exploring the idea of a new kind of portrait.
